✶AFTER CARE✶

1. Keep it covered:
Leave the bandage on for 3 days but not longer than 4 days. This protects your tattoo from bacteria and helps prevent irritation. If the bandage comes off early for any reason, please don’t reapply it.

2. Gently wash:
After removing the bandage, wash your tattoo gently with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel—do not rub.

3. Apply ointment:
Once dry, apply a thin layer of healing ointment (like Aquaphor or a tattoo-specific balm). Do not over-apply. I recommend moisturizing 2–3 times a day, or anytime the tattoo feels dry or itchy! Switch to a fragrance-fremoisturizer after a few days as your tattoo begins to peel.

4. Let it breathe:
Wear loose, clean clothing and avoid re-wrapping the tattoo unless instructed. Allow it to breathe while keeping it clean and moisturized.

5. No scratching or picking:
It’s normal for your tattoo to itch or peel—this is part of the healing process. Avoid scratching or picking to prevent scarring or ink loss.

6. Avoid:
  • Direct sunlight and tanning beds
  • Soaking in water (baths, pools, hot tubs)
  • Heavy sweating or gym workouts that may irritate the tattoo

7. Healing time:
Initial healing takes about 1–2 weeks. Full healing can take up to 4–6 weeks depending on your skin and tattoo placement.

Some redness, swelling, itchiness, and peeling skin are normal during the healing process. If you have any questions while caring for your tattoo, feel free to reach out.
